The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 caused more law enforcement line of duty deaths than any other single incident in American history. Out of the 2,996 deaths, 412 were emergency workers in New York City who responded to the World Trade Center. Let us share in our sacred obligation to remember those who were killed on 9/11, recognize all who survived and honor the sacrifices of the first responders and recovery workers.
