Bill 303-34, which removed provisions in the law prohibiting law enforcement officers from being represented by an employee organization, was passed by the legislature and has now lapsed into law. Guam’s law enforcement officers can now obtain exclusive recognition by an employee organization to negotiate better working conditions that will help protect and serve our island. Congratulations to Guam Police Officers, Guam Customs and Quarantine, Department of Corrections and all of Guam’s law enforcement officers for this opportunity to enforce their rights and have a voice in the implementation of polices and procedures affecting their working conditions.

Thank you to Senator Michael San Nicolas for introducing Bill 303-34 and all the Senators that voted for the passage of this bill.
