There are currently 34 teacher vacancies in elementary schools, 60 teacher vacancies in secondary schools, and 36 vacancies for special programs (i.e. opportunity resource teachers, GATE teachers, etc).

The department is recruiting to fill one-to-one school aide positions as well as teaching positions for various subjects and grade levels. Minimum requirements for school aides include a high school diploma, while minimum requirements for teachers include a bachelor’s degree in any subject area. Once selected, applicants will be required to submit a police, court, and drug testing clearance.
