To date, I have been employed with the Guam Department of Education for a total of 30 years. During those years, I have taught Kindergarten, first, third, fourth and fifth grades at M.A. Ulloa, AsTumbo, and Wettengel Elementary Schools. I was detailed as an Assistant Principal for Machananao and UPI Elementary Schools. I am currently a first grade teacher at AsTumbo Elementary School.

I am a potential candidate for the Guam Education Board. If given the opportunity, I would be the voice for the teachers, students and parents. I want to ensure that the teachers and students are kept as the top priority in decision makings. I would like to work to build a stronger parental relationship between the education department and the board of education. I truly believe that if we support and provide for our teachers and parents and that we listen to them when they need to be heard, OUR CHILDREN WILL WIN!

I stand for EDUCATION FREEDOM! I say LET THE TEACHERS LEAD the way for the education system. I believe that the teachers need to be given the opportunity to use a curriculum or the PSST’s as a guide to deliver quality teachings in a fun learning manner keeping in mind the different learning levels of all students. Teachers need to be themselves rather than training them to just be a “COMMON” teacher or a carbon copy of another. I strongly and highly promote CHARACTER EDUCATION, CREATIVE THINKING, CRITICAL THINKING, PROBLEM SOLVING, SOCIAL AND LIFE SKILLS for all grade levels. Together we can make a difference so that “NO CHILD WILL BE LEFT BEHIND!”

I humbly ask for your vote of confidence to the Guam Education Board this coming general election on November 8, 2022.
