Senator Dennis Rodriguez introduced Bill 359-34 relative to equitably implementing the certification pay differential salary adjustments for certified government psychiatric technicians. Psychiatric Technicians at the Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center who had received certification from professional organizations have been excluded from the certification pay that nurses and other healthcare professionals receive in the government of Guam. Psychiatric Technicians who decide to further their knowledge and skills in their profession by completing certification increase the quality of healthcare service; similarly to licensed nurses and other healthcare professionals. Bill 359-34 supports the advancement of the psychiatric technician profession by their inclusion in receiving the certification pay differential.
